Setting up your SuperNerd Dialup account and Email Address is easy!
Click on the Dialup Setup Wizard button below to begin the automatic installation.

Setup Guide for SuperNerd Dialup using Windows Vista

1. On your task bar, click on the ‘Start’ button (Windows icon) and click on ‘Control Panel’.

2. Please follow the appropriate step below depending on the control panel view on your computer screen.
   
   1. If your view is set to ‘Classic View’ (as indicated on the left side), you will see the below screen. Then click on ‘Network and Sharing Center’ icon and continue to Step 3. If you don’t see the below screen, skip to Step 2b.

   2. Click on the ‘Network and Internet’ icon.

3. On the left side click on ‘Set up a connection or network’.

4. Select ‘Set up a dial up connection’ and click ‘Next’.

5. Enter the following details in these fields:
   

   Dial-up phone number:	0198331334
   Username:	username@supernerd.com.au
   Password:	password
   Connection name:	SuperNerd Dial-up Connection
   Allow other people to use this connection:	Tick Click the "Connect" button to continue

6. Wait for the port to open.

7. Click ‘Set up the connection anyway’.

8. When you have successfully connected to the internet, you will see this screen. Click ‘Close’ and you can begin using the internet.

Connecting to the internet next time
1. To connect to the Internet next time, click on the ‘Start’ button and then click on ‘Connect To’.

2. Select ‘SuperNerd Dialup Connection’ and click ‘Connect’.

3. Tick the box ‘Save this user name and password for the following users:’ and click the button ‘Me Only’. Then click ‘Dial’.

Disconnecting from the internet
1. There is an icon displaying the status of the connection near the clock on your start bar. It looks like two little green computers. Right click, or double click the icon and it will present you with an option to disconnect

1. Click ‘Start’ menu and select ‘Control Panel’. If you are using the Classic Desktop then choose ‘Settings’, then ‘Control Panel ’.

2. Double click on the ‘Network Connections’ icon. If it is not listed you may need to click on ‘Switch to Classic View’ in the top left hand corner of the control panel.

3. Click on ‘File’ from the menu at the top and select ‘New Connection’.

4. This will bring up the ‘New Connection Wizard’ screen.
5. Click ‘Next’.

6. The next screen will ask you to select a network connection type. Select the first option, ‘Connect to the Internet’.

7. Select the second option, ‘Set up my connection manually’.
8. Click ‘Next’.

9. Select ‘Connect using a dial–up modem’.
10. Click ‘Next’.

11. For the ISP Name, enter ‘Supernerd Dialup’.
12. Click ‘Next’.

13. In the ‘Phone number’ field, enter the phone number ‘0198331334’.
14. Click ‘Next’.

15. In the ‘User name’ field, enter your email address (username@supernerd.com.au) and Password. You will also need to confirm the password.
16. Click ‘Next’.

17. Tick ‘Add a shortcut to this Connection to my desktop’.
18. Click ‘Finish’.

19. Close the ‘Network Connection’ window and restart your computer.
20. Your computer is now configured for Supernerd Dialup.

1. Double click on the ‘My Computer’ icon your Desktop.

2. Double click on the ‘Dial-Up Networking’ icon.

3. Double click on the ‘Make New Connection’ icon.

4. Type ‘Supernerd Dialup’ in the field labelled ‘Type a name for the computer you are dialing’ and select your dialup modem from the ‘Select a device’ dropdown box.
5. Click ‘Next’.

6. Enter the phone number ‘0198331334’ in the field labelled ‘Telephone number’
7. Click ‘Next’.

8. Click ‘Finish’.

9. Right click on the new ‘Supernerd Dialup’ icon on your desktop and select ‘Properties’.

10. Un-tick the check box marked ‘Use area code and Dialing Properties’.

11. Click on the tab marked ‘Server Types’ and Un-tick all boxes leaving ‘TCP/IP’ the only box ticked.

12. Right click on the ‘Supernerd Dialup’ icon and select ‘Create Shortcut’.

13. Click ‘Yes’ to create a shortcut on your desktop.

14. Close the ‘Dial-Up Networking’ window and Restart your computer.
    Your computer is now configured for Supernerd Dialup.
